With some free time over the holiday break, I created a slight twist for the dismobile.com site. I've got an iPhone and we're making a trip to WDW in a couple weeks so I figured why not try something new.
First, I changed the mobile site around so that it looks great on the iPhone, Droid, Blackberry, and other mobiles. But, that's the least of the changes.
The big addition is the new Mousespotter game (screenshots). To play, just submit posts as usual to dismobile.com and you'll get points for each post. Bonus points for photos and posting from different locations. See the full details on the mobile site. Check the Leaderboard to see where you stand in the competition against other Mousespotters™.
- Mousespotter™ of the Day: each park has a Mousespotter of the Day, awarded to the Mousespotter who earns the most points at that park for that day
- Park Mayor: every day, one Mousespotter™ is the Mayor for each Park (MK, Epcot, DHS, etc.); the Mayor is the Mousespotter™ who has earned the most points for spots at the park over the last 14 days
- Ears: as you submit your spots, you'll earn Ears; compete with friends to see who can earn the most Ears during your visit
I'll be using this during our upcoming trip to kick things off. If there's anyone that wants to use it sooner, go right ahead! It's fully functional as of the time I write this.
On the main site (the non-mobile site - http://dismobile.com), I'll be adding some of the game features over time. For example, showing the points for each post and adding a section or page for the leaderboard. Until that happens, use the mobile site to check in daily on leaders, winners, and activity.
